A Beachbody on Demand Review for Women (5 Smart Reasons to Try It Today)

Last updated-May 2021

Beachbody on Demand is a membership service offered by that gives you streaming access to all of the exercise programs produced by Beachbody.

It’s like Netflix or Amazon Prime Video but with exercise routines instead of movies.

You won’t be cuddling up with anyone to watch this stuff but you’ll have a lot more people want to cuddle with you after you’ve been working out with Tony Horton and Shaun T for a while.

If you use my link to purchase it helps support my business.  Thank you! (No hard feelings if you don’t.)  You can get more information about that here.

Why Will Women Like Beachbody on Demand (BOD)?

BOD could be the thing that puts the pizazzle back into your exercise routine.

Who doesn’t get bored with the same ‘ol workouts?

We all do.  It’s part of it.  You have to mix things up sometimes to keep exercise interesting.

If you look forward to your next workout about as much as your next colonoscopy then you need to change something up.

There are SO. MANY. WORKOUTS. to choose from with a BOD membership.

And, a lot of them are made for women!

Make sure you check out which Beachbody programs are my top picks for women below!

If you can’t find at least a couple of programs that get you all warm and tingly then you’re not looking hard enough.

A Bit of (good) Advice-Never decide a workout isn’t amazing because it’s ‘old’.  You’ll miss out on a ton of great programs if you do.  Make sure your bias against a workout is because of something OTHER THAN the production date.

There are a ton of smart reasons to sign up for Beachbody on Demand.

Here are the best ones…

#1-Free Trial

Free trial! You’ve got nothing to lose.

Sure, you’re going to get even more email than you did before you signed up but this is important and the kind of thing you should want to see in your Inbox.

#2-Meet Someone New

Now’s your chance to meet an instructor you’ve been wondering about.

Try out a workout with a host you don’t know.  Maybe they’ll inspire you in that way you’ve been looking for.

Maybe your friend has been telling you how amazing Shaun T is and you’ve never seen it for yourself.

This is your opportunity to find the instructor that makes your bell ring.  We all need to find the program or person who motivates us.

And Beachbody has a slew of instructors and workout styles to choose from.

#3-Find Out Who DOESN’T Fit Your Workout Style

Find out which Beachbody workouts and instructors you DON’T like. Not every instructor or video will be a perfect match for you.

Knowing what doesn’t work is as important as knowing what does.

For example, if you find out you love TurboFire (but nothing else) you can buy the series and feel confident in knowing that you’re getting a program you’ll actually do because you’ve already tried it.

Or maybe you’ll discover Tony Horton makes you want to punch yourself in the face sometimes.  This is your chance to figure it out so you’ll know which workouts to invest your money in (and which ones to avoid).

My advice:  Don’t decide who you love based on one series or one routine.  Try the same instructor in more than one series before you decide he/she isn’t for you.

Each series has a different vibe/style and your opinion and experience with the series will affect your impression of the instructor.

#4-Finally–Access to the Extras!

Remember all those empty slots you found when you bought the last video series from Beachbody?

Ever wonder what’s in those ‘Deluxe’ titles that you don’t get in the basic DVD set?  Now you get to find out what all those missing workouts were about!

That was the first thing I checked for (the elusive missing workouts) after I signed up for BOD (I think I’m always hacked off about those videos that you have to pay extra for).

#5-Closed Captions

Clear sound and picture, and closed captioning! That’s right—you can read the entire workout and listen to your own music.  Figure out what plugs or wireless gadgets you need to connect your device to your TV and enjoy!

There’s also a list of equipment you’ll need and the length of each workout under the information for each program.

How does Beachbody on Demand work?

This video will help with that:

Keep reading for more important information like How much is a BOD membership? How do you sign up? and What do you get with your membership?

I’ve been using this service for a few years now.

Here’s what I know…

How Much is Beachbody on Demand?

*There’s a FREE TRIAL period (the length of time varies from 14 to 30 days depending on which promotion Beachbody is running when you sign up) then 3 options:

1) $38.87 every quarter

2) $59 every 6 months (23% off the original price)

3) $99 for the year (35% off the original price)*

*The total is $108.65 with taxes

Is it easy to sign up for a Beachbody on Demand membership?

Yes, but give yourself time to read everything.  I’d recommend allowing ten to fifteen minutes to read every screen and do every step.

Here are the steps*:

*Your steps could be slightly different.  These things change over time but this was my experience step by step.

Step One

Select the 3, 6, or 12-month paid subscription.

Step Two

Read over the contents of your shopping cart. Make sure you see the 14-day (or 30-day) free trial there, along with the membership you selected.  This is also when you have to give away your credit card number.

You can write down the cancellation number now (1-800-470-7870) or wait.  (You’ll see it again in one of the emails you’ll be getting.)

Step Three

Now you’ll be prompted to purchase an additional Beachbody product. Close the message, select ‘No Thanks’, or go ahead and add it to your order.

If you’ve ever bought anything online from Beachbody before you’ll be expecting at least 3-4 prompts to purchase more stuff before you’re ever done checking out (surprisingly, that wasn’t the case this time, I was only prompted to buy another product once!).

Step Four

That’s it (kind of)! Now you see a big Thank You, and for your kindness you’re asked to complete a survey.  Now you’ll get a bunch of emails.

Go ahead and make a folder right now that’s called Beachbody on Demand (BOD) so you can store all of those emails.

Make sure the email with that cancellation phone number is in there.

Step Five

Look in your inbox for the email that provides the link to sign up for Team Beachbody Club. (This step might not be necessary anymore.)  Guess what?  This means you have to create an account.

I know that’s your favorite thing to do.  Come on, you know you can memorize one more screen name and password. (Write those down somewhere or use the same one you use on all your accounts.  Seriously, don’t do that).

Now What?

Now you get access to every Beachbody workout! Let the party begin!!
